When should you book Christmas light installation?
Book in September or October. Install dates are first come, first served, and November fills fast, especially the weeks before Thanksgiving. Our pricing also changes on Nov 15, so booking earlier locks in this season's rate and your pick of dates.
What is the best time to book?
September and October. That is when you get your pick of install dates. By mid-November, the dates before Thanksgiving are usually spoken for, and you choose from what is left.
What does the season look like in the Ozarks?
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| Now through October | Book. You get a free mockup and quote, then pick your install date. |
| November | Install season. Most homes are lit before Thanksgiving. |
| December | Lights on a timer. If anything goes out, we fix it within 48 hours. |
| January | Takedown. We take everything down and store it for next year. |
Can the lights go up early but stay off?
Yes, and it is the smart way to do it. An October or early November install avoids the cold snaps and the late rush. We set the timer to start whenever you like, whether that is Thanksgiving night or the first of December.
Which dates fill first?
The two weeks before Thanksgiving go first, because most families want the house lit for guests. Weekends before local events fill early too. In Ozark, the 61st Ozark Chamber Christmas Parade is Saturday, November 21, 2026, and a lot of homes near downtown want their lights on by then.
Why book before Nov 15?
Our pricing changes on Nov 15. Booking before then locks in this season's rate for your home, and you still choose your own install date.
Do you have HOA rules?
Several neighborhoods around Springfield, Nixa and Ozark have HOA guidelines for exterior decorations. If yours does, send them along with your address and we will design within them. Early booking gives you time to get approval if your HOA asks for it.
What happens after you book?
- Send your address. We measure your roofline from satellite.
- Get your mockup. A picture of your house lit up, with your quote, usually in about 15 minutes.
- Book your date. Approve online with a refundable 50% deposit. The balance is due on install day.
- We handle the rest. Install, fixes all season, takedown and storage in January.
Common questions
Is October too early to put up Christmas lights?
No. Lights can go up early and stay off until you want them on. The timer is set to your start date, so neighbors won't see them until you are ready.
How long does installation take?
Most homes take a few hours. Larger or taller homes can take most of a day. You don't need to be home.
What if it rains or freezes on my install day?
We don't work on a wet or icy roof. If weather moves your date, we reschedule with you first. It is never lost.
When do the lights come down?
In January. We take everything down and store it until next season.
Is it too late to book in December?
Not always. Send your address and we will tell you straight whether we still have a date for you.
